3. CAUTION ^
3-1. BEFORE TURNING ON THE POWER SWITCH,
CHECK that the voltage setting on the external power supply panel MATCHES the voltage used in your area.
3-2. CAUTIONARY MEASURES WHEN SETTING UP THE PATCH:
Never apply voltages higher than that for which the Input terminals are rated.
Every input terminal on the patch panel has built-in protection circuits which will operate if excess inputs are applied. However in order to maintain stable operation please observe the above caution in particular.
If you plan to use a control signal
from this unit to control sonic external unit, make sure that the input impedance
of the external unit is more than 10K ohms
In
cases where you xvish to apply an analog signal to a digital input terminal,
as a rule it Is best to first connect the analog signal to the VP input and
then connect the VP output to the digital input. For example, if you want to
control the release function by means of the control wheel, you would set up
the patch as shown in figure 51.
Furthermore if you use an analog voltage
for switching a circuit with an input marked
,
the circuit will switch OFF at voltages above approximately "3V" and
it will switch ON at voltages below "OV".

3-3. CAUTION: WHEN USING THE 60P TERMINALS
Do not use the 60P terminals for connections with anything except KORG PS Series accessories. Feel free to make enquiries about the use of these terminals to our technical staff.
When
connecting an external keyboard or external unit by means of 60P cord always
turn off the power of both units before making the connection.
